Fresh Tracks w/ Randy Newberg. Western hunts, conservation stories, policy and advocacy. Single best one out there currently. Only paid subscription I have is Fresh Tracks + (No amazon, disney+, HBO, Netflix, etc). Highly recommend the Mackenzie Mountain hunts, or the Alaskan Bison, or really anything. Just not as relatable to Midwestern whitetail hunting, but incredible stuff.
Catman Outdoors is about as real as it gets. Simple guy doing what we all love. No frills, just goes and does it, and does it all.
Solo Hunter w/ Remi Warren was pretty good. Self-filmed, a lot of spot-and-stalk archery. Seems like a decent guy, no reason to dislike him or his content.
MeatEater is the best for outreach to general public simply because they have a great marketing campaign. But they tend to really suck at narrating, and should do less of it, or take some classes on how to be better. Steve is a great writer, but that doesn't mean he can write a script, or narrate it.
Elk101 is usually pretty fun, but can get a bit slow.

Hunting Public was great in the beginning. Seems like they're trying a bit too hard lately. Misadventures are fun, manufactured stupidity isn't, and ethics are everything (courtesy is a part of that). Still- watching them made me a better turkey hunter (I still suck, but I'm better). I'll watch most of their stuff, but find myself turning off some stuff early as of late. Decent chance to learn from their content if you pay attention.

Tim Wells needs to chill, and understand he can't please everyone and that the bloodier spear-kill GoPro footage maybe does more harm than good.
Hushin' is a joke. Stop "lobbin' bombs" and wounding everything because you're shooting past your effective range. Get close and kill the damn thing with the first shot, or don't shoot.
Born & Raised Outdoors went too far down the "Bro" tubes. Same issue with long-range wounding.
Cam Hanes is annoying.
Gritty Bowman the same- and he needs to apply for & buy his public land film permits.
Jason Matzinger comes off as pretentious.
Seek One is a dumpster fire.
I refuse to support Muley Freak, Bowmar's, and other poachers.

If the hosts spend half the show time trying to sell you gadgets or anything else (food plots, bait, camo, Ozonifier Scent Eliminator 5000 ™, canned deer fart attractant, BillyBadAss Bows, whatever), promote the private ranch /deer cage/deer farm they're hunting, or even name deer- they are doing more harm than good and aren't worth my time (and especially not my money). Commercialization of hunting in media is one of the larger buckets of "cuts" when referring to hunting's "Death by 1,000 cuts".

If he is using thunderheads there not stock. Every one iv messed with ran out of concentricity as bad as most made in China. Guys I new shooting broadhead 3ds liked montec ,and NAP Hellrazors. Even they needed tuning. Would like shooting them out of fast Xbow to see how fly but dont want to ruin archery target.
who shoots a broadhead into a target?
I bought one of them high dollar blocks thinking I would tune my bow using it. Regular target tipped arrow went through it a few inches with my 50lb 345ibo bow, no idea what happens when the big boys shot at one of them with their 7-80lb bows let alone a cross bow
I shot one hellrazor through it and half the arrow was sticking out the back side

so now I know where a dirt berm is and go there to shoot/tune broadheads

Trick with thunderheads (all fixed blades, really) is to swap them between arrows until you get a combination that spins true. A lot of times your inserts aren't glued in perfectly square, and you can mix-n-match heads and arrows until you get them spinning true. But thanks to the o-ring you can change just how tight the thunderhead is, and maybe make it perfect on a particular arrow.

That said- my next heads will be Magnus.

This is the only hunting/fishing show I watch.
My favorite episode is when these guys go to deer camp and one of them can't hunt with a rifle because he has a felony charge. He has to take a crossbow with him to the stand

I use old 3d targets but afraid to try with fast Xbows.

I file or stone shoulder of broad head or end of insert. Get concentric within .001" testing on old aluminum arrow straightener. Bow must be string tuned to shoot bare shafts 20y in order to shoot broadheads accurate.

Set up center shot.
Then bareshaft tune with several shafts to make sure there isn't a nock tuning deviation.
Some people will spine test the shafts before fletching to cut the curve on nock tuning.
Nock tune the arrows if necessary.
Then fletch and broadhead tune. I try to broadhead tune out to 50 when I can. Time consuming, but it does the job for me.
