Just because it can be done doesn't always mean that it should be done.

Call me wasteful, but every coyote I have ever shot on my place, I have just let them lay, or tossed them over a log or a stump to rot. And, NOTHING has ever come and chowed down on them. Not the yotes, buzards, grinners, crows, etc..... They just lay there till they rot away, maybe the maggots eat them....

That's the whole joy of shooting a coyote.... You shoot them, walk up to them and kick them a couple of times, then just walk away. No field dressing, skinning, etc required. Mother natures own supply of moving targets. :D

Just a dog. Plenty of countries where dog is a delicacy.

No doubt, as long as I can afford to go to the market, pick up a 1.5" thick Rib Eye, reverse sear that thing to perfection... There is no need to eat those critters. :D

I bet Steve Rinella has eaten them.:sniper:(Edit: I guess CRE10 posted while I was typing...)

His cookbook is on my birthday wish list, however I have no immediate plans to shoot or eat coyote.
