Did anybody do any good?

A buddy in Alton got a couple of teal with his grandsons...
Buddy and his kid had quite a bit of action. No connecting shots though. Lots of gadwalls apparently. My stepson broke his leg 5 weeks ago and we did not have a good set up for him to hunt.

Sorry about the leg though

We tried Shanks, there were a good number of birds but they didn't fly all that well on the mostly calm but east wind, and then the rain. With low cover, lots of mallards and pintails (e.g. they were inspecting us a lot more than teal or spoonies), and trying to get good shots for a kid, we only took a few shots and he hit one teal that we couldn't recover in the thick weeds. was a good day to be out, we enjoyed the start!
