Been several hours since someone posted a new thread on AR's.... So, figured it was time. Don't want Cummins to get depressed.....:hysterical:

For those of you that already have one, but are eying your next... What are you thinking about....

Me, I'll prolly build my own lower, already have some parts towards building it....
Then, I kind of have my eye on this Upper from JSE, or at least one pretty darn close to it....

This one is mostly Yankee Hill Machine parts.....

Then, top it off with either an Eotech, Aimpoint, or ACOG if I have the funds....... This rifle will be my official Zombie rifle once it's complete......

Anyone else already scheming on their next one...?

Shore is a purty barrel on that rig!!!!

Another "If I have the funds" type idea....I want a short one next time, with a can on the end!!!! Would have to jump thru the government hoops though, not sure I want to tackle that just yet. Otherwise, I might go for an 18-20" model.:wave:

Yeah that Ruger is a slick lookin AR. It's SO heavy though, 8 lb's from the factory If I'm not mistaken. For the money though, it's hard to beat. You are getting a lot of top of the line accessories included. I've seen em sellin for around 1,450.

The Sig 556 is a little more "time proven" at this point, for the same money! Haven't seen a Ruger on the shelf yet either.:wave:

It's definitely an eye catcher. After adding up those accessories, your gonna have a hard time beating it for the price.

Troy Battle Sights-260$
Troy Hand Gaurd-270$
Hogue Grip-30$
3 Pmags-60$
AR carrying case-50$????

670$ worth of accessories from the factory......not to shabby if you can get it for around 1500$

I am undecided as of right now. But I may think about putting one together meself. The one I currently own is the one I want to be the zombie killer. Maybe if I do another I will build as a long range shooter.

Knob Creek Gun Range has had Rugers on the rack for about a year now, since they were introduced. He's got some of everydangthing on his racks, so it was easy to overlook some of them:D At $1595 (he's got good prices:) ) it's still there, he's got enough other, less pricey models, that it's collecting dust. I don't think that it's because of the rifle, itself, it's just that it's competitors have it beat on price, or it's been overlooked in the absolute WAD of ARs Kenny keeps in stock. He has more AR:rof2: rifles in stock, than I had in my company's Arms Room at Ft. Bragg.
