we got set up early monday morning, as the morning light began to show we did not here one gobble. but i new the birds were there. at about seven oclock we started seeing hens coming out in the pipeline cut in front of us, soon to follow was three gobblers that i had been getting pics of. i told him not to let the hens spot us because they were right in front of us about 12 yards away. but when he seen the gobblers coming he started getting a little shakey with the gun and one hen picked him out. she give the old alert call and they all headed west rather quikley. i hit the call a few times and surprisingly to me one of the gobblers turned and headed back. bad mistake for him. eric dropped him at 15 yards. i dont know who was more excited him or me. the bird weighed 20 pounds and had a 91/2 inch beard. what a great morning it was.
