Fishing from the bank would you fish Winter for Catfish or just fish close to home for other Fish?

Actually that is what I was thinking and Suckers are better than Catfish. I know an area that hasn't been gigged.

I know Cats will bite in Warmer weather but wasn't sure this time of year.

But I know Bass, Goggle Eye, Suckers and Trout will bite by the House. So I will probably go by the House.

Just curious, but how do you determine an area HAS NOT been gigged?

Just a small hole with a Large riffle they don't mess with getting to the hole even with Jet. Just way better to Gig above and below.

Could do good on Blues but I don't have a Boat or Fish Finder.

I think you can still trade a wife for a boat and fish finder in certain 3rd world countries.

In Missouri it is Illegal to use Trout and I think you will find Suckers much better eating than Catfish even though I do fish for them.

Yelp that's nice bunch of Suckers.

My wife said today she just soon not have Catfish rather have Suckers and Bluegill. Oh I'll probably fish for Cats too. Even though they are Unclean
