I'd like some detailed pics myself. Condition is every thing with the old 1894's. The year of production is also important.

Passed on a 1873 22 cal about a year ago that had been totally reworked including a relined barrel and priced at $1000. Beautiful job but not original.

As an aside to this, on figuring date of manufacture for the old Winchesters such as the 1894 and 1885, you can't go off the George Maddis books if anyone is using them. A gentleman over on the gunbroker.com forums named BertH (username) has done some serious and really extensive research of all the available records from Winchester and found many discrepancies.

As a matter of fact, I think he has listed the serial number ranges for what years of manufacture on that forum.
