Got a new barrel I'm setting up for the Encore and grabbed a couple of boxes of "factory" ammo to break in the barrel and get some brass to reload.

Notice the 9 brass with primer indentations.
Here is the side view. Notice anything unusual?

Yep, 7 rounds failed to go BOOM! I was not a happy camper. First thought was a light primer strike. Nope. All cases have been struck several times.

If I had bought this box of 7mm-08 and been hunting, the rifle would have been wrapped around a tree. Instead, I went and bought a bag of new brass, reloaded some 120gr Nosler Ballistic Tips and had a bang every time.

This box will be going back to the shop and exchanged for some appropriate reloading supplies.

Hence the reason I shoot Winchester and not Remington. You can always expect at least 1 misfire per box of Remington's. You must have gotten a REALLY bad batch. I have yet to have one fail since I switched.
