1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Gen 9:1-3 (KJV)

because God said so. :banana-man-yeah:

this post had nothing to do with the poaching debates. I was just sharing.

anyway I believe that the Bible teaches us to obey the laws of our leaders as long as they dont contridict the laws of God

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Romans 13:1-3 (KJV)

basicaly, all leaders are placed and allowed by God to have power and if we obey the laws we have no need to fear the law.

anyway.

I use that passage from Genesis quite often. Makes those who look down on our "Bloodsport" really think about THEIR beliefs. In their mind we're just heartless humans but throw some words from The Good Book at em that supports our outdoor passions and they are usually baffled.
