I saw macon county boy's SKS in the For Sale forum, and it got me thinking about my SKS. This was my first deer rifle, and though I don't take it deer hunting anymore, it will always be my favorite firearm in my collection. It's a sporterized Norinco with an Albanian charging handle, perforated steel handguard, a Ben Murray spring-loaded firing pin, and a special custom-dyed wood stock that has no bayonet groove. My buddy from Texas made me the custom leather sling and wrap with ammo pouch that holds 10 rounds on a stripper clip. The pouch is on the "wrong" side because I'm a lefty. Anyway, here it is and let's see yours if you've got one!

Okay, those of you with the scopes-- are those the receiver cover type? I had one of those, and couldn't maintain zero very well with a regular scope. I've been kicking the idea around of installing a "drill and tap" side mount, by they are expensive. It would be a much more solid mounting job, though, IMO.

Ive got a yugo that I have refinished the stock on and put a red dot scope on it. I sure like shooting it.

I have been thinking of doing a little customizing on it. Tapco T-6 in the earth brown would be nice. Plus I could adjust the stock and the kids could shoot it.

i think it was worth it bought mine several years ago they were alot more expensive its easy to put on and it fits really tight not like alot of others i seen its adjustable so anyone can use it and it jus looks cool you can get mags of same color i got the black one there mags are the best i ever used
