Been out for 2 years staked down on 3 acres of clovergood luck, is it staked down, supposed to be pretty windy, right? Regardless, I wish I were hunting tonight!
I’m headed to the house to shower right now. We got some rain here last night so the creek I’m gonna have to cross is high which made me decide to go and buy some waiters real quick. I’ll be hiking about a mile in. And I have to cross the creek at the halfway point so I didn’t feel like being wet all evening and then getting wet again on my way out.
First sit of the year for me on my lil farm coming up in a bit.
Those that have turnips planted this cold snap should start the sugar flowing into the turnip tops. Turnip patch might be a good spot to watch the next few days.
I may have time to hunt some Sunday into Monday since its a holiday for the bank where I work.

I was hoping for a couple more weeks of growth, I got my turnips in 9-7 and last week they were looking good but still pretty small. Wheat looks good tooevery last leaf of my turnips has been gone for over 2 weeks!

Dang... Do you think a couple hours of temps below 32 will be enough to kill off the growing for turnips? they're calling for 31 for maybe 3-4 hours around the farm.one small stand was thick and about 14" tall and the deer smoked them (small plot, real small).
It was good movement this am. Had to leave a little before 10 and saw a lot of deer on my way home. I've got HS football game to go to tonight. But ill be back in the stand in the am. Good Luck!
Got settled about 330. First set of the year. A little breezy. Have pics of a couple decent bucks coming thru the timber patch I'm in. Standing beans in front of me
Been in my recliner at the house for about 1.5 hours - have already seen 7 deer cross the driveway!
