Of course you have to investigate and see what is on the line.....

Messing with someone else's trot line is a real fast way to have a bad day around where I live if you get caught. Bad sportsmanship.

But if you don't check it then you wouldn't have anything to post on the internet, and that's a tragedy.
I guess he could of just cut the line when it got tangled on his kayak. Seems like there are also a few people who may get worked up too quickly around too.

Nah, you get it unhung then leave it be. You don't decide to run someone else's line. Thats a big no no. My guess is that he hung it on his kayak near the bank, if at all, and if you look at the video he's near the center of the river. Some of the guys I know around here would have sunk that kayak right there if they caught him doing that. Not saying that's the right response or what I would have done, just saying mind your own business and don't mess with other peoples stuff or you will find trouble.
Video turned off before the fillet knife came out

Guy might not have meant any harm, but folks around here would take that personally. Some areas ppl still use their fists to settle a problem. Then maybe drink a beer together. I’d never touch another persons property and would except the same respect.
