Do you "blind" grunt, or do you wait until you see a buck?
Also, what kind of sequence do you use?
90% Blind......10% to get his attention and turn his head so I can count points. It's hard to count when they are walking in the woods.
I do some blind grunting bot usualy grunt at bucks I have in sight . I always grunt while I am raking leaves away from a tree while hunting from the ground . Anytime while still hunting and I make too much noise I will let out a grunt or two .
When someone else needs the bathroom.
Primarily when I see him.
When i bend over to tie my boots??
I blind grunt quite a bit. I brought in my buck last year by doing this.
Walking through the woods to my stand when the leaves are crunchy
I will do both. This time of year I will blind grunt periodically. You never know when one is cruising close enough to hear and not be in sight.

Usualy first thing in the morning
I'll blind grunt some. If'n I see a buck that looks like he might be heading in a different direction, I'll grunt 100% of the time.
I've yet to have any luck blind grunting. I called my buck in I shot last Friday with the grunt though but this was after I seen him cruising by 80 yards away.
When I lift something really freakin heavy.
Usually when my wife asks me a question

This is the first year I've used a grunt tube. 100% has been blind grunting. I haven't seen a buck yet. I did grunt at a fawn last Saturday. She didn't give a hoot about me at all. She never even looked my way.
