Hoo Boy, I'll stink up the place with this.:D A Remington 700 BDL, in 6mm Rem. My cousin swapped it to me, because he couldn't get it to shoot. Me being somewhat arrogant, I decided I COULD make it shoot. I worked over the trigger, glass-bedded it, scoped and rescoped it. NO GO. No joy at all, nuthin.

On the very last chance it had, and I mean the LAST CHANCE for it, I loaded up some stuff with Winchester 760 powder, and it finally came around, it shot 1/4" groups with light bullets, and the groups got bigger as the bullets got heavier, but still under 1". It finally came around, but not without a LOT of work and $$ trying to make it work.

I didn't like the shiny stock, and swapped it off. Still don't like Remington rifles much.

Had 3 of them actually and all was the same model, Browning A5.

1st one shot 2 ft low at 25 steps
2nd one would hit 3 walls of a barn from the inside
3rd one was a jamamatic. got it fixed and on a big buck it jamed! Brother in law went and picked it up where I threw it and left it.

And then there was this one. A Smith .44 Special, M24-3. Got it and ordered a set of Bear Hug grips for it, oil-finished walnut, custom made to my hand size. It shot like POO, and spit lead out the b/c gap. I sent it back to S&W, it came back shortly, shooting even worse and spitting lead, and the cylinder would sometimes rotate backwards.:whinging::whinging::whinging::whinging:

I sold it to a collector, after telling him the truth about it. He didn't care, since he was a "collector" not a shooter. Kept the grips, though:wave: I've owned a "bunch" of guns, so there are bound to be some lemons in the herd.

My Remington Model 31 Pump.

I got it from my wife's brother, and it was their grandfathers. It hadnt been shot in years, nor cleaned.

I took it completely apart multiple times, cleaned it a bunch, reblued the barrel and action, and it still would hang now and then.

Nothing worse than being on the skeet range and the trigger wont pull when you go to shoot.

I ended up finding a new bolt for it, took it apart again, cleaned it all in a parts washer, re-assembled it and it works awesome now.

I had )i believe) a savage semi auto 12 guage I tried using for ducks. It jammed on an all to regular basis. I was hunting the duck club on the middle fork (chariton) in flooded timber, with tons of new mallards in on the acorns. It jammed after one shot on 2 different bunches decoying into the timber. I took alittle wade over to the river channel and gave it a fling. That fixed it,,,after it sunk to the bottom of the river channel,,I never saw it or had it jam on me again.:claphands:

A Rem 742 woodsmaster 30-06 - 1st shot a pie plate remaining shots couldn't hit inside of the house with the oven that cooked the pie! Also was a constant jamomatic. Sent that little piggie to market.

speaking of jamomatics i did have 1 marlin model 60 .22 would jam on 2nd or 3rd shell, but it was a shooter and most squirrels dies on the 1st shell, i do have 1 shotgun a remington sportsman 48 after 200k (approx) shells or more i had to retire it, theres a steel bushing in the end of the forearm, no matter what was used to cement that bushing back in there it wouldn't hold, thats when i made the decision to go with O/U in the game of skeet, i do miss that 48 though

A semi-auto we won at an NWTF Banquet, brand was Escort, never forget we were teal hunting and had a big flight come in, fired the first shot and the follower broke and the spring in the tube went in the water somewhere behind me, thought it was a fluke, but I knew I had a real winner when it came with a second follower as appearently it was a common problem

Did win a sporting clays shoot with it though :woot:

Nothing really terrible, but dad has a 742 Woodmaster. Jammed a few times early on but always keep it cleaned and oiled and have never have had a problem since then.

Had a nylon 66 years ago that was the jamminest gun I have ever seen. Never found a load that was reliable or accurate for it. Traded it on a 10/22 and ain't looked back. Prolly wouldn't take another nylon 66 if ya gave it to me.

Had a 7400 30-06 that I couldn't make myself like. Killed some deer with it and it only jammed on me once. But I never could get past that afterwards. I sold it after I bought a Browning BPR .243 from my father in law and the guy that I sold it absolutely loves it and as of the last time I talked to him had not had any problems with it.

bought a winchester super X 3
I am going to try to get the 11-87 worked on for a back up
and maybe use it if its raining, or I have the need to throw somethin in the creek,
this is by far the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned.
