What's your longest drought without getting a deer?

The last deer I shot was back in 2007. Hopefully this drought will end this year.

Last year that I didn't get 1 was '93 before that was '82. So I can't say I get 1 every year but most years.

I never saw a deer in my first 6 years hunting. The 7th year I had a big doe come in first thing opening morning and I shot her but never found her. I rushed the shot and mad a bad shot. But after that I have killed a deer or two the last 5 seasons.

I've killed at least 1 deer every year except in 2005 but I do have a good excuse.......I was on a gov't paid vacation to the sandbox.

I've missed one year since 1967 of getting at least one deer. I think it was around 1984?
  8. I don't think I have ever went with out killing a deer, but I just broke a five year drought last year on killing a buck. Just to picky, I had to lower my standards to do that

Well I started hunting deer in 2007 when I was 6 years old. No deer seen

I got my first deer a 9 pt buck on Jan 4th 2009 the youth hunt. I was 7 years old.

I got my second deer a doe on October 30th 2010 again on a youth hunt. I am now 9 years old.
