Tomato worm......or tobacco worm
OR a lunar moth catapillar?
Tomato worms don't have the fine hairs on them do they?
I'm thinking something else.
Catalpa worm, aka fish bait! Is that leaf next to it from a Catalpa tree?
nope, cottonwood tree leaf, did not pay much attention at the time
I dont recall the catalpas having that yellow. Tomato hornworms have yellow and white stripes across the body, iirc. No idea on that beastie.
I looked around in Google images, and on the Univ. of Mo Extension site, and I've concluded that I still have no idea what that is.
How about Green phase of the Imperial moth caterpillar ?
The wife did that earlier, we might send it to the MDC ombuds (sp)person to investigate
It's a green caterpillar
They have yellow, just not that pattern(a stripe on the sides). Plus they are black across the top.
It could be a magic caterpillar if you put it on a hook and turn it into a fish. Other than that I got nothin.
