I’m considering running out for a hang and hunt. It’s drizzling here with a steady south wind. I’m considering hitting that scrape to maybe catch him on his way to freshen it. OR. I could stay home and finish grinding up that doe I shot....

I'm already almost there. Couldn't resist. Plus, the chunks I cut up to grind are still pretty solid so they need a couple more hours to finish telling before I grind them.
Pretty early to be focusing on scrapes. Good luck!!!

Good luck. I'm seeing all red on my weather radar. I figure being up high in a wet tree in a wet metal treestand in a thunderstorm didn't sound so good. I would like to live til at least November.

I'm in the saddle bud. Saw two does already. Took 17:55 to get in and hunting at 23 feet.
Storms kept me home tonight but I'm watching 3 does out the garage on the edge of the bean field

Well I saw those two does right after I set up and that’s all. I’m learning to be more quiet as I use the set up, because I was able to get up this tree and not alert those does that were probably within 15 yards of me when they came by. So all in all it was a good experience!
