Okay, I havn't been out of a mourning since thanksgiving, and I'm headed out tomorrow mourning just wondering what time it is getting daylight out. I havn't been up early enough to see if a while.

Suppose to have a cold front hit tomorrow around mid day so I am thinking they will be on their feet in the mourning.

mourning - the grief over a persons death
morning - the early part of the day

This sparks a debate for everyone. How long before shooting light do you get into your stand on a morning hunt. Conversely, how long after dark do you sit in your stand before coming down?

I usually get in my stand an hour before sunrise time. And I stay till after dark if at all possible.

For me it depends on what the deer in my area are doing...for example, I prefer to get into stand at least a 1/2 hour before I can see..so I guess thats prob. and hour before sun rise, however if my cams are showing deer moving at 1 a.m. then not moving around again until 10 a.m. or so, then there has been times that I won't get into stand until 8 a.m. or so.

As for getting down, when I can no longer see the outline of a deer's body in the field I'll get down.

I'm with bowhuntks on this one. Really depends on the property & what the deer are doing. Makes no sense to me to be in the stand an hour before daylight if the deer aren't coming through till 2 hours after sunup.

I hunt trails leading them back to bedding areas in large timber tracts, so there's no sense being in early in my morning spots. I've been known to time it to be standing at the base of the tree at civil twighlight. I only got so many hours I can physically stand to be in the stand, so I try to maximize those hours to daylight hours, rather than sitting in the dark twiddling my thumbs.

As far as leaving the stand, I'm there till I can't see the outline of a deer at 20 yds. I'm almost always the last guy back to the truck.
