I just found a dead bird in the grill of my car, and was wondering what kind of bird it was. I can not get a pics of it, or I would post it. I will do my best to describe the bird.

It is a dark brown color with white speckles in it. It is only about 6 inches long, and has a wing span of almost 2 feet. Toward the end of the wings, it has a white line on the feathers. Im not sure if it is a bird, eagle, or falcon.

Sounds like maybe a nighthawk. There's another name for them but I can't remember it right now. They come out at dusk and just love eatin those flying insects. But they're probably alittle longer than 6".

Is that what we call a meadowlark or is that a different bird?
