I know this comes around every year, so I will start it.

I will be shooting a Remington 700 XHR In 7mm-08, top off with a Burris Fullfield II. It'll be shooting 140 grain federal Fusions.

I had planned on sitting out for the entire deer season because I still have deer in the freezer. But I might try to kill a doe since I have vacation and you never know what next year is going to bring (public land you never take anything for granted).

I had a root canal done and the permanant crown won't arrive till the 2nd week of rifle season. I asked the dentist if it's alright to shoot a 7mag without breaking this tooth. He suggested I borrow the old man's 30-30 to be on the safe side.

Savage 7mag, Marlin 30-30, sidelock 50caliber, or maybe I'll just stay at home and see if the Rams can take the division. I'm not in the best of health this fall with a variety of things so I really don't care about hunting at this point.

I shoot these old things, a couple of .270s, my favorite, Old Death, a Winchester 70 Classic, and a Howa 1500. OD has a Leupold 3-9 on it, and the Howa has a Fullfield II 3-9.

As dumb luck would have it, both rifles like the same load, and shoot about the same, which is pretty good. I don't think I'll switch them out with anything else right now....:2thumbsup:

Well IF i get out i'll take my M77 Mark II all weather in .280 Rem topped with a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 and for back up i'll either take the A-Bolt Micro Hunter in 7-08 topped with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 or the M77 Mark II all weather .243 topped with an older Leupold Vari-X II in 3-9x40 all of these will be chambering federal fussions in them. i might not get out until doe season though or even the second youth hunt which then would only be the midget hunting but that's just fine too.

If everything stays as it is now, it will be a Remington 710 with Bushnell 3x9 scope. Winchester supreme elites in .270. I might go with my 7mm Weatherby with a yet to be purchased Nikon scope.

This season the deer should be wary of my Weatherby Mark V 7mm-08 with Leupold Glass.

Remington 700 mountain rifle in 25-06 with a redfield 3x9x40 scope.
Or a Remington 700 BDL also in 25-06 with a Nikon 3x9x40 scope.
