this one isn’t saying much.
Any ideas for a mount?
Or should I turn him into a hat?
hat fa sho
I have seen them mounted leaping after a flying quail, which you can purchase at any game farm/pay to shoot place. Looks pretty awesome with a cool diorama, such as a fencepost with barbed wire.
Why the gloves? You afraid of fox cooties?
I think they look good stretched out like they are going to climb on a stump.
Saw one once with a rooster's neck in it's mouth and it was looking up at you like you came around the corner and surprised it. That looked really good.
I’ve got the cooties. I’ve seen this fox chasing armadillos, Didn’t want any of that leopracy
I am going to go a different route than the normal taxidermy of foxes, coyotes, and other furbearers and do a soft mount. This way I can pose them however I want, where I want, or even just have them on the couch as a soft pillow. To me, it seems a little more versatile than hanging it on the wall, shelf, or put in corner of the room. Plus the kids or grandchildren can cuddle it and get enjoyment, or yourself you want.
Pretty ugly fox to be mounting.
Didn't the season for red fox end on January 31?
That one get run over by a prius also?
No it was trapped legally. Hadn’t gotten around to posting it. The beginning of the season I had a phone call within a few hours, we’ll see how long it takes this time
So your vote is hat? I also need a new driver head cover
This one is more of an orange
That was what I was thinking.
The Big Grins cousin.
Driver head cover would be pretty slick and fit you perfectly!
Pretty neat.. but I like my mounts like I like my bone.
I would go with a face mask. Nothing like a fox on the face. I've always said that.
Here's the mount I had done on a fox I shot many years ago.
