What do I have here...is it collectable or fishable or both?

I came across an old Bamboo Fly Rod from the early 40's a few years ago, I'd have to look to see the name on it but I contacted that website, they gave me all the info on it they also said if I wasn't a Professional Fisherman that Rod Would Work Great.
It doesn't have a Reel on it, Oh One Other Thing, I Have No IDEA HOW TO USE IT LOL, I have never Fly Fished.

You ain't too old to learn!!! I didn't start downhill skiing until I was 45 and sailing in my mid-50's and restoring bamboo rod at about 60. I'd be really curious to know who made your rod.
