Nothing like it!!
What a hunt!
My oldest Brady has hunted hard last few years. Seen some bucks, nice bucks in fact. Just never got it to work out. He was frustrated, I was frustrated.
This year was promising, yet 10 mins into legal shooting light the biggest buck I have seen on the hoof in a while was 20yds away broadside. Brady froze and dropped his gun barrel into the blind and poof stud buck gone! Was a no doubter, go straight to taxidermist buck deer. Needless to say he was defeated, sad, upset, mad etc........
not 20 mins later another buck shows, cruising. Smaller by far but we are shooting. Buck works through and no shot available in timber. He gone! Brady again same thing. Sad!
another 20-30 minutes and boom, buck #3 of the morning is coming our way this time on a good line for a clear shot. I get him ready and the rest is history. We shared a great moment in the blind and just had a wonderful day. His little brother was along for the ride. Such a great experience.
