Walleyes on jigs and plastic. Northerns jigs and plastics, big crankbait, one on a buzzbait. 38 inch northern on 8lb test and a jig. 39 in northern on 6lb test and a jig. Don't try it at home, it takes a lot of skill.
I just got back from Canada on Wednesday I agree big wallies and northerns this year. 29 inch walleye and a 41 inch northern on spinners with a crawler hanging off of them. Put 6 northerns over 36 inches in my boat this year awesome time for sure
I'm just finishing a trip to the UP on st Mary's river at Canada border. Fishing is no good at all. Family vacation and still having fun, but my fishing this week has been really poor.
We were on lake st joseph in omtario. Cant keep big fish so they all go back. The lake has no smallies. Must be too far north. There is no cell service, no email, no tv, nothing. You get back in the evening, pour a drink and sit on the deck watching the loons and the ripples on the lake. Fricking awesome.
