I inavertenly only braught 2 paper targets wiht me and dint want to waist gas going back to the house to get the full pack. So i shot the revolver first, its a Ruger Old Army in 44cal. nine cylenders total at 25 yards, Took a few cylenders to get it back to center. It is simple a fun to shot, have not shot this gun in 8 years. Cleaning it not so fun. It put all 6 shots in a 3 inch cirle.
Next I shot the Lyman greatplains hunter in 54 cal. 5 shots at 25 yards. Last time I shot that gun I dint have my glasses and now shoting with glasses it was 6 inches to the rt. So drifted the front post and once it was on at 25 moved to 50 yards. By end of 40 rounds at 50 yards the target was nothing but tap peices, so put up last target and moved box back to 25 yards for next gun.
It is the smothbore rifle I won years ago. It is a american lancater in the red. Caliber 54 with no rifling. It also just like the Lyman and my revolver off 6 inches to the rt. So drift its front post. Its only sight devise, no back sight on this gun. Get it abck to center and eventually move it to 50 yards. Finish the 100 count of home cast balls and then move to 100 yards. Another 100 count of home cast balls between the 2 flintlocks and target was shreded. So I took to puting a soda can on top of the box, first at 50 yards then progresing to 100 yards. Ran out of balls and had to go home.
I going duck hunting in moring with Chad so wont be ML shoting tomarrow but will go on Thursday if wife not work. Ill do my best ot remember to take pics betwen shots this time.
