Just wondering if anyone around Texas county has seen any rubs or hard antlered deer? I haven't found any indication of rubbing yet. Also, how likely is it to have the opportunity to harvest a velvet buck in my area?

Our farms are in Dent County next door to you. I have pics of several bucks who shed velvet the first few days of September and tonight I got a pic of a buck still in velvet, there’s a chance. Good luck.

Saw a little forky with velvet starting to peel off last weekend.

I don’t have any charts and graphs or bios to support this, but maybe 1 in 10 chance of a good one still in velvet and better than that for the samll ones?

Dunno about velvet, all our wee bucks are shedding velvet now, but I did see two spotted fawns last night.
That surprised me. They're lucky I'm not much into taxidermy.

This buck went from velvet to bone in less than two weeks. I have 2 different years of one side sheds but haven't laid eyes on him.
