The VECtor worked to a tee as is has a wonderful habit in doing on mature bucks.
Last night I made my way back to the shooting house for what would be the 26th, 27th and 28th hours spent in the woods since the opening of rifle season.
It turned out to be one of the best nights of the entire fall for deer movement and sightings. I seen somewhere in the neighboor hood of 20 deer and two mature bucks.
This buck made his way out into the clover at 250+ yards. He worked a scrape on the field edge and then fell victim to the VECtor. I give him to long grunts on the VECtor and he was at a dead lope in my direction. I let him get to just under a 100 yards and let the 06 bark. He fell in his tracks.
Believe me he is not the largest rack buck I have seen or taken and have passed on a couple bigger than him this year. But with out a shadow of a doubt he is mature and that was all I was after this rifle season was to shoot a mature deer.
