Use for a rotary hoe

Anyone here use an old rotary hoe for food plotting and how do you use it in your situation?

I guess I'm trying to figure out if I can do less damage to the soil by using a rotary hoe instead of a disk or tiller but still loosen the top soil a tad, or use it to help seed to soil contact.
This is the kind I'm talking about.

I always thought the spray and let it die down then go over it with one of those and the broadcast your smaller seed would be perfect
That was what I was thinking. Kind of a minimum till use. I used a tiller on a couple of my bigger food plots over the years and now I'm fighting never ending foxtail. I think I really stirred up the seed bed tilling the ground and want to reduce that disturbance.

I was just wondering if anyone had some real world experience with these.

Sounds good but bet will be packed with crop residue in less than quarter acre.
Maybe - sounds like a couple of us are going to find out...will report back..
