Today while we were fishingat the Hallsville tourney we went to a small far pond to see if we could catch any kicker bass. No luck. But, we caught the biggest crappie out of there in 5 years.
My dad was fishing with a spinner bait along these cat-tails and caught two 1 1/2 pound blue gill! Then after that on the very next cast he caught a 14in black crappie that wieghed about 2 pounds! Maybe we should fish a spinner bait for pan fish more often eh?!

Sounds like some Slabbers... I caught eleven myself yesterday. Biggest Crappie was 11 1/2" My biggest ever was 15 inches. Congrats on the mess of Fish. Sounds like some whopper Bluegill's. I've been catching some about 3/4 of a pound lately. I once caught one that had to weigh a whole pound. :wave:
