Got my new GLoomis ultralight replacement rod and I need a new reel for it. I've used this daiwa UL7 for years but it's seen better days. I wish I could buy a new one but they don't make it anymore. The wide spool seemed to help with line memory and it would cast a 1/32 ounce a mile.
Looking for suggestions on something similar.

I used Diawa's for years, just changed to a couple Bass Pro Micro-Lite Elites-MEX05F 4lb test on 5ft ultra light rods,(Blue Diamond Graphite and Fenwick Eagle Graphite) can fling a 1/16th jig a long ways. Drag works great and easy to adjust if ya got a big one on

The Plueger I had mentioned is a lite/medium reel that I have on a 6 foot light action rod, it works great too, but is not an ultra-lite, even though Plueger does make them..

Seems like a good price.
