Anyone drive 70 East just outside of St. Louis much ?


I can't remember exactly where it was, within a couple of miles after getting onto 70 from 55. Anyway there were 2 gobblers right beside the road one of them had as thick of a beard as I have ever seen on a turkey.

I just wondered if they were regulars along the road.

I know everyone in the truck went, "hey theres some tur..LOOK AT THE BEARD ON THAT ONE !!" Pretty much all at the same time.

The largest flock I've ever seen, was just off I-70, on 65 Hwy South.

It was while on the way home from the MO Deer Classic, last year.

I regularly see a flock of about 20 including some huge gobblers in the field next to Dave and Busters right on the St. Louis county side of the Blanchette bridge in St. Charles.

I seen a bunch of tracks in the Snow yesterday... before it melt. They were just the otherside of Government Land, going up a steep Hill. Seen a few Deer Bed's back on the Public side. Again one was underneath a big Cedar Tree.

Honest Invite! we have three weeks but its late this year. Definately bring the boys up for a crappie weekend! Eddie and myself have a place we can all stay with my bass boat and his deck boat we can accomadate all...

Hey Hatch,
I can guar-on-tee I know one good ole hoosier boy whose not saying just yes but, H*LL YES! I've been known to make a mean bloody mary just for instances like that. (There not just for breakfast anymore) All natural ingredients even can the hot mater juice myself! Thanks for the invite I'll be talking to hthrly7 about that.:banana:
