Turkey call?

Ok, I'm 99.9 percent sure that what i found in the woodshop of our new place are some turkey calls but I just have never seen one like them. I'll try to describe them as best I can. They are a 1in by 1in by 5in long. They are made out of cedar and are an enclosed box with no moving parts. The top piece has one side that sticks out about 1/4 inch with a slit under it providing a sound chamber. The edge that sticks out is rounded like the edge of a box (paddle) call. If I use another piece of cedar and rake it across the edge, it tries to make some yelps. I think I may need to clean it up a little with some sandpaper and chalk it up but I am wondering what you are suppose to use for a "striker" on it. I wish I could find a picture of one like it on the internet, then I might be able to answer my own question. I'll keep searching the net and if I find a call that looks like them, then I'll link it on here.

BP, I'vemade a ton of those calls. Bring it to the classic and I'll show you two different ways to play it. If the lip is curved I don't think ypu should round anything.

Also I don't think you should alter it AT ALL til you discover exactly what its origin is!
