Never thought of this my wife was reading Rainbow Trout are just as good for a person. Got the same Omega 3.

But I know Salmon are better eating but I live on the river and can catch Rainbows all year.

That is one thing I always buy is my Trout Permit just stupid not to. I catch them even if I’m not fishing for them.

Omega 3s are in fatty fish. I don't think rainbows are very fatty.

You know I Smoked some and I was surprised the amount of oil that came out.

Never acquired the taste for pellet fed fish.. there use to be a (private/pay) trout stream around Steelville where staff fed their trout a pellet/feed that made the flesh pink in color like Salmon... but didn’t seem to help with the taste.....
Westover on Dry Creek ,,,,1 mile and a half from my gpa's farm .....Changed a bunch from when i was a kid

You ever fish there? The guy running it was talking like the owners were looking toward building homes there. He showed me a layout they had that has some pricey builds on it. Them maybe a lodge? Never did find out if that ever happened or not... do you know if the place is still open for trout fishing?
Westover That’s It!!!
Used to be just a shack for the hatchery ,,,you could buy fish by the lb or fish the creek for a fee
The feller sold it and now they built a bunch of fancy rental cabins
Yes... and they did build several nice log/cedar houses that they rent out IIRC. Wife and I fished there several years back. A bit pricey.
Yes, they built some NICE log homes that they rent out. They now have an updated website.
Wife and I have fished there.
And rainbow trout do smoke up real nice. Along with some crackers, cream cheese and capers... good stuff.
What river you talking about?

Yea I'm partial to crappie and walleye as far as freshwater fish goes. But I rather much prefer saltwater fish like red snapper, sea trout, flounder, ahi tuna, wahoo, to name a few.

I was just pointing out what was shown as good fish concerning Omega 3.

Far as fish I have Redhorse, Channel Cats, Couple Trout, Carp and Bluegill.
