[rquote=1518018&tid=105846&author=adrenaline seaker]have you ever heard somone doing it[/rquote]
Yes. There is a guy I know who's lab is top notch at it. I have another friend who used to have a blue heeler that was pretty good. I am assuming your talking about tracking wounded deer,,if not using dogs for tracking deer wouldn't be legal.
Where do you think you hit it, and what kind of projectile? Also, how long ago did you hit it, and how long have you looked, distance followed blood trail and how many people tromping around looking for it?
i think i hit it perfect, i used a 223, a week ago, we looked for a couple hours, just me my dad and my other brother. we dident just go look for we waited a a couple of days because we knew it was a big buck so we dident want to push it.
[rquote=1519722&tid=105846&author=marshallgrn] another reason i wouldnt use a 223 for deer hunting[/rquote]
Yup. I know of three deer this year that were shot and killed with them. All died within 150 yards, but almost ZERO blood trail.
