Has anyone been seeing many ? In 10 mornings of sitting in my Climber i have had 1 Spike come up under me eating acorns. I had to wait to see its head, then saw the spikes n passed on him

I had four slicks walk by Sunday evening.

That was the only time I went last weekend and the first time since the weekend before.

Not much of a pattern but that's what I've seen.
Been covered up in 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old bucks both sets so far this year. Throw in a hand full of 1 1/2 year olds and it's been a great start. Can't wait til this first cold front hoping it moves a couple of the mature bucks
I am going in the morning, hoping this heat wave has broken.

Wind just shifted to the nw here about 5 minutes ago. Good luck!
Ive hunted around 10 times so far this year. Ive seen something on every sit. Usually no beans or corn near my hunting areas so i hunt were the acorns r. Waiting for a big one to walk by!! Or if im hunting south I’ll probably stick a pig with an arrow if i c one!!
Sometimes when your shoot a bunch from an area the year prior, there aren’t as many the following year???
Well i came out of my Climber at 9:30 am no tick toters. Saw at least 15 tree rats, had too many knats bothering me. Needs to drop temps
They heard you were using xbow, and moved to another county. :wave1:

I don't hunt much in the mornings during early season. Seems most movement in the evenings. Hunted yesterday evening for first time. Was lucky enough to take a turkey. Also saw several deer mostly does & fawns did see one spike. Bucks don't seem to be moving much right now. I have several cams out and buck pictures really fell off during the heat we have experienced last couple of weeks.
Should be great hunting next 3 days or so temps to drop into 30s Fri morning highs in 40s. Even Sat & Sun look good much cooler temps.
Lots of bucks on my cams yesterday and watched 3 fight out my back window. Two little guys kept messing with a pretty good one. Went on for about a half hour while we ate dinner.

16 mornings now n just the Spike have i seen. This is the worst hunting season since i moved here in 09. I usually have couple in the freezer & would have seen about 30 or more. I am wondering if MDC has a deer killing squad in the area after that CWD deer was found

I reckon they do enjoy killing a few thousand of them tick toters. Howell county being one of the deer Factory counties. Heck if they have started doing it, maybe time for me to sell out n find another State
I did kill a fat Doe last Tues. they seem to be morning a bit now. I am going in the morning with this cold front coming in
