this is from two years ago, she decided not to go last year but this year she is thinking she wants to give it another whirl. only thing missing from this picture is the bird.

this is the morning we were set up to work the birds that were in the field in front of us and ended up having one come in behind us in the this stuff. never did get a shot but at one time i could have sworn i felt his breath as he gobbled over my shoulder. :banghead:

her only hangup is her nerves. she is rock solid on the range just when those toms get 20 yards in front of her she is nervous as all get out. so far 3 shots, 3 clean misses. take her to the range and she is blowing up paper plates out to 30 yards. she just keeps going over them when it is go time. this year will be the year though, i have faith.

well i would only problem is when she is behind the trigger i am shaking worse than her. funny how i don't get nervous until after the suspense is over when i am behind the gun but with her when things look like they are coming into place i get to shaking and gittering. good thing we are in a blind or i would blow the thing before she ever got a chance. first time it happened she heard looked at me and asked if i was cold and wanted her jacket. got to love that.

MRB, don't worry brother, she gets a bird and there will be pics all over this thread. won't be a prouder dad on the earth. of course even if she doesn't get one and she stays with it and goes again this year i will be happy.

Unless of course you put another dad's boys on a couple of birds this year ;). Not set in stone yet but looking good for the 8th and 9th if you still want to try and put the boys on a couple.

Maybe at the range, have her concentrate on keepin her cheek down on the stock....sounds like she's lifting her head at the moment of truth, looking to see if she hit the bird, and shootin high....I know this from experience....lol. Gotta keep the head tucked tight on the stock, look down the barrel...Good luck to you both this spring!!!

We can only hope. Boy's are pumped, as I am too, and looking forward to it . Hopefully nothing big happens to prevent it from happening
