Looking good Sully. Did you build your fluid bed or purchase. If purchased which one did you go with and how do you like it?
I bought a quad bed from Simply Crappie .com I really like it so far ... here is a video of the exact bed I got
I'm sayin this ain't going to end well when Mrs Pink wakes up with a big hunk cut out of her hair and you sittin there tien pink flies. good looking rigs there
Just like limbhangers picture only a red wrap and throw in some red stripe. We cant drink beer while crappie fishing, usually it freezes.
Been assessing tackle box needs for the soft water season. Probably a month or more til open water fishing. Son of a ........
Got to looking at that bed and decided I'd jest make one myself. We shall see if it works.
Waiting on a shipment of eyes
Where do I order?
Ha if I had to sell this right now ( to make a profit ) I'm sure no one would want to pay my price HOWEVER for a fellow MWTer I'd be happy to send you some samples to field test !
What do ya think DoubleLiver ... will this catch a MN crappie ?
Oh yeah that looks good! I might be willing to pay your outrageous prices!! Maybe 3 or 4 more strands of red in the stripe. 1/32 oz jig head which that looks like.
We usually are pre spawn in 6-15 feet of water. Hang the jig under a 1/4oz Adjust-a-bubble bobber.
Was ice fishing yesterday just north of St Paul and there was still 24 inches of ice. Ice out on my favorite lakes looks like a month away yet.
Kids spring break is next week. Next year spring break will be spent a lot farther south where we can catch some soft water crappies and bass.
Actually that is an 1/8 oz ... I can do 1/32 PM me your address I'll send you some to try
Thank you Sully. How about some pictures of the successful test drives on these things?
I have another question. Once you are done with the wrapping of the hair or feather body, how do you end that? Tie it? Glue it?
You keep it up you'll make em to pretty to fish with
Yes some pics would be awesome ! I glue and tie !!! I hate a jig that falls apart , one of the reasons I started tying my own !
Have you ever used a whip finisher? Once you get the hang of them, it's as simple as it comes. I still glue afterwards too, because I hate having a good jig fall apart.
