To size them you can do it as simple as using microsoft paint, open the picture, click image and then attributes and you can change the size there.. for an average size picture use: 448 x 336 for just a bit bigger use 640 x 480

Once you have them sized you need to host the pictures somewhere, i use photobucket http://www.photobucket.com

Once you upload them there are little "tags" that you use, just use the one that has the
after the link.. You can use those 2 img tags on any picture to put it on here...

If you have the picture saved on your computer, you can also attach them, when you click post reply here you should notice down towards the bottom (attach) and you can attach from there..

For the picture by your name, also called avatar, here is a couple links to help you

There are a couple of options that I use.
The first is picasa software. picasa Heres a link to a free download.

In picasa, to save a file you have to hit the export button. When you export, you have the option of selecting pic quality. I resize to 800 pixels & save jpeg quality to 80%. My pics seem to fit the screen nicely ( at least on my screen) & don't seem to take forever to download. I've got dial-up, so I don't like huge files.

The other option is a free program called PIXresizer. I don't have a link to it, but I bet you can google it. It is also a free program.

I like picasa best.

Hey MO

If this is a pic for a Reply.. Dont! go to the quick reply box, under each thread is a Post reply tap hit it. next at the bottom of the page that pops up there will be an attachment box with the word BROWSE it wil take you to your Document file where you can pic your picture that you want.

Same type of page pops up for a NEW TOPIC .

Whatever pic you want to post should be already filed in your Doc / My picture file.
