Back in the early 90's, when I was in my early 20's, I got really serious about archery. I was in the 3D circuit, went bowhunting out West, and did it all. I had good equipment, shot with a group of friends who were serious about it, and spent the time required to be really good at it. I was steady, confident, and deadly. Then, I decided to join an Indoor league. 20 yds, shooting at little bullseye's. After about 3 weeks, I developed a crushing case of "target panic." I am now 35, and only in the last couple of years did I manage to recover from the target panic syndrome. My advice to you all: stay away from indoor ranges. I realize what happened to me might not happen to someone else - after all, target panic is all in the head. But I can say you should avoid it - it can really mess up your game.
