I am thinking of building a shooting hut. Probably 6 x 6 x 6 with a pitched roof. Just seeing if any one was interested in one . Probably will be able to build it for around $500 or a little less.

I'm thinking 6 ft wide and 6 ft long and 6 ft tall with a v shaped roof probably 12-18 in pitch. I can put 3 windows in it with the flip up wood and a door

Hut would be this big but it would be up to you for the steps and raising in on poles. Mine would have a pitched roof instead of flat.. Yours looks real good.

How are you planning on sealing the crack whete the two roof lines come together?

Thinking of metal roof with a cover piece made for the joint. With the pitched roof I think there would be room for a bow to be shot easier for someone standing up.

I built one 13 years ago and enjoy it on rainy and windy, cold days. I went with metal roof and it gets loud in there when it’s raining hard but metal will outlast shingles. Been trying for 13 years to keep bugs out of it!!! You can go in a week or 2 before rifle season and sweep several thousand dead Asian Beatles out of it and then come season there is that many more in it!! I’ve used several cans of great stuff but them little suckers can find a crack somewhere.

We built this thing a couple years ago . Set the posts and floor , built the walls and roof in the shop and set in place

That's the way we built one for a friend of mine. We put up one side at a time on the platform. Hardest part was the roof up in the air.

We're building a couple out of shipping crates. Just the plywood, plexi, blue board & other nickel & dime stuff is gonna put us around 3-400 in each one. Probably be another 70* gun season this year now that we've got these

We have built 4. We do a shed style roof, enough pitch to run the water off. We use steel, but also put a wood ceiling to make it more bug proof and dampen noise. I shoot standing and don't have any issues.

Buried 3 feet and 200 lbs of quickrete on each pole. That thing is rock solid plus it is braced back into the roof of that building.

I have several like this on the farm. They are insulated with carpeting and heaters. They also have very comfy office chairs that recline back for naps during slow periods. they are also moveable hook the tractor to them and pull them were ever I need them.
