The Vector Strikes again!!!

Here are a few pics. Gonna head Coyotehunters direction. Then type out the story when I get back.

So probably about 7:30 or so I caught 3 does sneaking along the north property line in a cow pasture. The farm to my east has fresh cut corn, they use my place as a cut through on their way back to bed.

A little before 8 I decide to rattle and hit the horns. After a couple minutes I catch some movement and noise up along the edge of the woods, and can see a tree getting thrashed. Lots of foliage blocking me from really getting a good view. I see a deer coming and get a glimpse of his rack and instantly recognize him from the trail cameras. This buck freezes, and I look to the left and a 2nd buck is coming in, looks like basket 8-ish. Then I hear the first buck snort wheeze (1st time I have heard it, pretty friggin cool).

Then everything just stops, no-one is moving. After a minute a deer comes up from where the bigger snort wheezer is, and it is a 3rd buck. He is a little fart, comes right up to my tree and spends about 5 minutes just walking around looking for the deer that caused all the commotion. He is getting a little spooky due to the lack of deer, and I think he can smell me off the ladder to my stand. He looks up at me several times, but can't sort it out. Meanwhile buck #1 starts working his way up to have a look. Buck #2 hasn't budged.

Buck #1 makes his way up to buck #3, and I was just about to drawn when #1 decided not to take those last couple of steps, and moves in right behind my tree, just a couple of yards a away. They both stand there looking around for a few minutes, and then they start to move off, I was afraid they were gonna walk straight away behind the tree.

Luckily he turns and gives me a great 12-ish yd shot. I am up high and he is slightly down hill. I either pulled it and/or he ducked a tad, but I spine him and he drops. Think I just deflected off the spine cause he starts getting movement back fast and is thrashing around going ape****. I draw back on the follow up, but now he is flat on his stomach facing right at me. He flips and flops a few times and finally exposes his chest/belly and I drill one right up into his heart and lungs. He starts spewing blood out of his mouth and nose unlike anything I've seen. 30 seconds later it is all over.

Part of me wishes he had two nice sides, but the other part of me likes his unique rack. Either way I am happy as a fat kid in a cake factory. Already know where he is gonna hang when Coyotehunter finishes him up.
