I figured since that other thread got derailed here and there in General, I'd post up here and "journal" my day to day hunting stuff for the trip I'm leaving on.

I'm pretty much packed and ready to roll. Should be leaving around noon tomorrow and might even get there in time for an evening sit.

Yeah. Issue is, my truck bed is packed with a few stands and our cooler for deer and random gear. There are two up there now. Good news is, we're only driving a little over 5 hours. So it shouldn't be too annoying.

Well we made it safe. Got set up. There were other folks in the spot we wanted to camp so we changed it up. We found a sweet spot right by the crapper. We did some wheeler scouting and saw 10-11 does and probably 8 turkeys. My buddy is hunting hard woods in the morning and I'm gonna sneak into a random food plot. Here we go!

Well I finished my morning with a pretty hike or having boy drawn my bow.

Saw 4 bucks and oddly enough, 0 does.

This funny 7 liked to hang out with me. Passed a decent 8.

Got to see a yute hunter take a doe last night from the road (me not the yute).

All in all it's been so far so good

The guy who was hunting in a close spot to me shot what I think is the deer in that pic. The yutes we layin it down tonight! Uneventful evening.

Pro tip: if you’re far from home base, anytime fitness has free trial memberships. And showers.

I have crappy service here so it double posts a lot. I was TAKING a shower. I'm "primitive" camping.
