Took him just after 8 am Wednesday of last year's firearms deer season. I've been hunting steadily since 1995. I've always been a meat hunter. I've never passed on a deer just because his antlers didn't measure up. This is the first one I've ever taken that I actually wanted to mount. I liked him so much that I also had him mounted on my arm as you can see in the avatar. I've never had him scored. He was a trophy to me so the actual number didn't matter to me. Still, I am curious. Educated score guess, anyone?
I'm posting links because the actual images are too big. Mods, feel free to help post the actual pics.
On the ground. The visible wound is the exit. He was quartering toward me and I took him high and forward on the right side, exiting high and aft on the left. I took out the top of his lungs but did no damage to the backstraps or shoulders. Like I said, I'm a meat hunter.

On the wall. The left brow tine is bladed, not broken. He's not tall nor wide, but thick.

Close up. This is what the tattoo artist used. He put it on my arm as a mirror image so that it would look correct when I view it in the mirror. He's got small G4s coming up on both sides and a kicker with a broken tip on the left G2. The taxidermist said that he was a dominant buck and that his neck was very scarred from fighting.
