Neighbor came over today.Said he seen a Big Buck by my place.Said that it had lost its antlers and was already growing a New Set.

Well this is all fine and dandy.But he went on to say he tried to get a shot at it but couldn't,he said another neighbor was going to keep an eye out for it see if they couldn't get it

I just don't know what to do.Its the same with everyone around here it don't matter what time a year,if they see a Deer or Turkey,if they have a Gun its getting shot at.

The only way to catch them is to see them cleaning one.But I've had Guys tell me they hear the Agent coming over the Scanner,clean up go talk to him.

But basically the Agent told me it is next to impossible to catch them.That when they kill them all they'll find somewhere else to hunt.

Very few places around here you can get a Cell Phone to work.

I know they know whats going on.Because I've heard them on the Scanner trying to catch someone.After awhile you will hear them say they need to find a Land Line.That would be 10 miles away for them.

I was watching a Guy shooting Turkeys one day,I had to walk a mile just to get my Cell Phone to half way work.

I tell you what they was trying to catch a Guy that set the woods on fire.They had him spotted by Plane.This Guy was on a ATV.He had a Grain Truck block the Planes view of him,while he went down the Highway.So he got away.

buddy up to them and when they tell you about the story of the big buck they shot and how good it taste, call the authorities and start writting on the affidavit. you should be able to help them get a search warrant for their house and curtilage.

Did that.Agent told me he wants to catch them red handed in the woods.These are upstanding people in the area.A Pastor,Decon,one holds County Office.

I don't even know why I bring this up on here.I have about twice a year every since I've been on here.Maybe just ranting wanting to share.

Thats a bad deal for sure! we have lots of raod hunters around here also and the locals are the worst!

There’s a lot of pathetic hillbillies around here. I’ll stop in a bar for a cold one from time to time. I hear stories about shooting deer from cars and such. I think this happens more than most of us realize.

I was talking to a friend that hunts up in Northern Mo. a couple of days ago. We were talking about road hunters. He laughed and said the whole town hunts that way where he hunts. The sad fact is that it is true. It is very hard to do anything to change those situations when the behavior is the norm, not the exception. At the big farm a group got together and made plans to get the owner drunk and then burn the house with him in it because he would not let them hunt on his land. At least one of them was part of a family that cashed a check when the farm was purchased. The locals there have CB radios modified with special crystals so only they can hear each other most of the time. They keep a scanner going listening to what the law is doing. To them, what they do is not wrong.

THIS TOPIC SUCKS!!!! We have got that stuff going on up here and we had it the last 2 places we have lived. The penalty for poaching here is a slap on the wrist now. I remember when it was stiff and not that many people were violateing. Now it seems to be a plague! I don't know what it is there but if its low maybe a real stiff fine would be a deterant. Maybe $5,000.00 a deer or turkey! Or jail! Or both!
