Heard today that the lead wench for that group has denounced country music. She said that she never realized all of the stereotypes were true until recently.

Hey, Natalie! How about you don't bash the President of the United States in front of a European crowd! Geez. What a waste of oxygen.

    Good riddens!

TK will be mighty proud if she stood up to her beliefs and shipped out! Chris LeDoux would have loved to see her go as well! And so on, and so on!

Yeah, they don't like our Pres. but they stick around, and are making bookoos of money off songs about war. Now they don't like country and are putting out a new country CD. Geesh what a bunch of hypocritical Bimbo's.

I think the whole thing is pretty stupid and have since it happened. Was what she did a stupid thing to do? Absolutely, but I could care less which political side of the spectrum anyone is on, let alone some recording artist.
I liked the Dixie Chicks music, I didn't have an opinion one way or the other about them as people. I still like their music and still could care less what their feelings about our president are.
I'm guessing that if every entertainer had the gumption to freely express their political views and feelings on the war there would be many more singers, actors, and whatever else that would ruffle some feathers with their opinions. I'm not agreeing with them in the least, and I don't think that they made a wise decision, but in my personal opinion to bash someone for expressing their freedom to speak their opinions is just as bad as what they said.

I think politics has it's places for discussion, this not being one of them. So, completely hypothetically, I wonder if I would be treated differently if I were to voice similar opinions of the war and our president? Or if anyone on here that is part of this 'family' did so.
Keep in mind, I'm not agreeing with them and their opinions, but I don't necessarily agree with how they've been treated either. The freedoms that our soldiers fight to protect include everyone's freedom to speak their opinions, perhaps the greatest freedom we enjoy.

That all said, I understand they weren't in the states when they did it, but I can't believe the outrage would be any different if they had been.
