Pulled cards yesterday and came across pictures of this fawn. First time I've seen one with spots so late in season. Thought it was worth sharing.

last year there was serious buck chasing going on Feb. 6th. on the edge of a Adair county CWD hot zone./ irradiation zone./CWD dispersal sponge.

I would expect it is probably in a part of Macon county close to one of those CWD DISPERSAL ZONES THEN.
Wonder how that works , if the kinder gentler extra culing / extermination by a nicer work is to remove 300 deer from the hot zone and the map now looks like it does? But i hear the chorus signing , you have to slow the spread of it down. I guess i don,t get it all the evidence shows irradiation by a kinder word is only accelerating the spacial distribution while destroying deer and deer hunting from ever growing sponges of doom. And still no solution based work.

Single fawn, leans towards a first year doe, I'd bet it's mama was a late 70- 80 pounder last fall.

Momma doe was just behind the fawn. I think they were just behind a doe group if I recall right.

also noteworthy that that's the smallest deer ive ever seen this late in the year. Must have hatched in August.

First time I have seen evidence of a spotted fawn this late. Little fella had to be tough to make it through the cold we had.
