I havn't been out since 11 o'clock on the gun opener. I don't hardly gun hunt and normally just let the gunners have at it... but since most of them will be done chasing bucks for the year after this weekend I am heading back out around thanksgiving.. on public ground so what do you guys think the movement will be like... I know less deer equals less movement but you think a few nice deer will still be trying to round up a few ladies? I havn't been out much to actually see whats going on so... I hope you guys have been paying attention and gave give me some good reviews of the deer activity.

Good luck to ya! That is an uphill battle. Hunting public land just after gun season.

Most of the deer will be laying TIGHT, on some unpressured land resting up after the bulk of the rut and gun hunting.

thanks, and of course its going to be tough it is anytime when your chasing a 4.5 buck... but I was thinking that there might still be some late chasing

Well two of my frinds work for MDC and they will tell you it is a hard hunt. All the hunters really push the deer away fro a couple of weeks
