I have one that I put together one piece at a time. Frame, stock, barrel etc all came from different sources. Saved a lot of money doing it that way! The only real difference between a ProHunter and an Encore is the swing hammer. Use an Encore frame, a hammer extenion, and then get the ProHunter stock and barrels. All it takes is a little patience and you can save a few hundred dollars.
The ProHunter barrels are 28" long compared to the regular 209 Magnum barrel at 26". The breech plug is easier to remove on the ProHunter and Endeavor models. I don't have a scope on it yet, but with open sights it seems to like 100 grains by volume loose 777 and 240 grain XTPs better than anything else.
