Well i just got back from the hunt and let me tell you it was one cold dude. My dad, uncle and I hunted to west side. I myself hunted from daylight till dark yesterday without getting out of the stand. Saw 20 does with not one buck to be seen. Wind was blowin 25 mph and it was COLD. Dad saw 24 with no shooters and my uncle said he saw one shooter runnin 100mph through the woods. Today we hunted till 11:30. I never saw a deer this morning and dad only saw to yearling. Yesterday combined with saw over 50 deer between the three of us. Today we say 3!!!! Don't know what happened but somthing sure did change. As of noon when I left only 13 deer had been checked in. 7 buck and 6 does/button bucks. I only know of 3 nice ones that were killed. A 12/14 pt, 10, and a 130 class 8 were the only ones i heard of.

well then more of you need to learn some respect for other hunters if you guys are grouping yourselves with the guys that walked up on me. They were rude and payed no attention to the fact that i was hunting an area. I was very nice to them and asked them if they were looking for a deer. They said no and one of the guys took a leak 40 yds behind my stand. Maybe they weren't from the city but to me that sure did sound like some city behavior. No offense to the guys from the city that know how to hunt. But you guys that are getting mad need to relax.

How far off the road did you hunt? Most of them non-hunting types don't go too far off the road, they get lost. Heck there is only suppose to be 50 people on each side, that place is huge

I ran across some real nice guys even though I walked up on them. I think people are people. Some are nice and some not so nice. On these hunts sometimes (IMO) you have to improvise and that is what I did. I was kinda trapped the first morning because some guys slipped in on my buddy and I and we didnt know it. All just part of the game. I had to make a move and did. They run a good deal up there for sure.

Wow did i stir up some crap or what? Sorry guys:confused: Peoples feelings get hurt to easy. Any harm done i sorry.

We hunted the north side of the west side. All the pins on the map were in the south to middle of the map with no one hunting the north side. We decided to hunt that area to stay away from other people. Even though the wind was coming out of the best direction, i stuck it out. I know i didn't like those guys walkin up on me. Thats why i stayed put.
