Has anyone ever seen one do this? She was right beside a gobbler that was strutting also.
It wasn’t a jake it was light brown blue headed feathers up to the bottom of its head .
40 years and it was my first.

Look for a red head not a strutter is all I will say about the first time it happened

I’ll be hundreds of watching and hunting i never have .
That might be why numbers are down. LGBT is involved!

Seen it once in the fall. She was even trying to gobble at rifle shots. Craziest thing I can recall from a turkey.

Yep yep, they can and do strut, gobble etc.

I haven't seen a strutting hen personally, but I did have on gobbling in front of me at 10 yards. Dad was there to witness it as well. Darndest thing we'd seen while turkey hunting.
